Definitely a must-see if you're into the history of Memphis and the American civil rights movement. Many important events and causes started here, included the making of the "I am a man" signs. The building is being restored, so it'll be interesting to see it now and then see it again in a few years.

Love the stained windows and the staircases here. Renovations are looking nice.

A church with a long history, event before it became an iconic location of the Civil Rights Movement. MLK preached here during the garbage worker strike of 1968. The building has suffered decades of neglect, but there seems to be some interest in restoration. We can only hope this beautiful building can be saved.
