I was a member for 15 years. The second pastor has introduced teachings of the Latter Day Saints into the Wednesday Men's MInestry. When i questioned it, the "deacon" couldn't even say what is Christian doctorine as many deacons here have no offical training in theology. Second, I worked with Pary in the Park which is an inner city program for kids. They claimed $50,000 went to this program annually, but if 3000 went to the program I'd be shocked as the fencing, electric equipment and food came out of my own pocket. So where is the rest of the money? I'm grateful for the program, but there's a lot that's fishy here. Third, it seems like every 10 to 15 years there's a scandal and senior members walk. From the classes of 1991 to 1999, there are no returning children as adults. I was there from 2007 to 2021 and I was the only one in that age category because I liked the inner city program which kids grew up, came back and thanked the remaining staff, which after the pastors father retired was taken over by a couple that ran off everyone else that worked on this project.

Charles Spurgeon was right. "There will come a time when instead of pastors feeding sheep, it will be clowns entertaining goats."

...oh....and one more thing from my last post. When I sold my home, it made a profit. It was the holiday season and I went to the second pastor stating that i had a "sum of money" I wanted to give to a widow or someone who needed it. I didnt want them to know where it came from. They took the money along with my 10 percent as i was faithful. After seeing the fund distribution of "Party in the Park," I would hate to see a forenic audit done on this church like many others. Like the federal government of 2025, I am all for auditing our chruches. Several people I brought to this church commented on how the first pastor's wife drives a very expensive Lexus, for example. The pastors here are not living in poverty, for sure. We protestants have become guilty of the same issues we protested Rome for. Thank G-d for grace, but this place is much like most larger churches of the south. Before we can point a finger at the world, we need to make sure our house is clean. Christains are not perfect and saved by grace....but what I witnessed here....

    Run!!
