  Perhaps one person's spontanious behavior does not represent the whole church. Volunteers are not always a true picture of the whole. The devil has a way of working even within a church, sometimes even more, to run off the work of GOD. Your friends surely would not lead you the wrong way. Trust in the power of GOD. There is a message to everyone involved I am sure. If GOD had turned his back the first time someone did not want him where would our salvation be today? GOD just might possibly have big plans for you in that church and the devil knows it. Maybe GOD is teaching the other party to be humble and know their place in the church. I will be praying that you see it in your heart to give this church a second chance and trust GOD to lead all those involved. May God Bless you, your partner, and all those that can be touched by GOD's ministry at Lindenwood Church.

  Lindenwood Church - I am an overburdened, NON-Christian who has been trying to do the work of YOUR community for over an entire year in trying to care for one of YOUR church members who is homeless and suffering from depression and lonliness. I realize that you did not know about this a year ago, but for the past few weeks I have been trying and TRYING to get Lindenwood to help this person with counseling, friendship, and a place to live. She needs to live with other people right now, but she is slowly getting on her feet. However, she is suicidal and has no one at Lindenwood to call when she feels this way.
  
  It's great that you have musical programs and community outreach, but you may need to cut back on those in order to refocus on the severe needs within your OWN community.

  The rating by 'CJ' absolutely breaks my heart. I am so incredibly sorry you experienced this type of humiliation on your first visit. I wish I could adequately express what this church has done for me and my family. I won't go into serious detail on the internet but let's just say the senior minister, Dr. Ron Buck, is the reason my family not only loves each other but he has inspired us to be better people. We tend to get caught up on our own lives and focus only on what we need but this church inspires all to reach out...my family recovered from a series of traumatic events that left us all shaken and in disbelief. We started volunteering together and working not only on our relationships with each other but our relationship with God and those who are in need. We are far from a perfect family...but we have found a home in each other and in Lindenwood.
  
  I have many friends from all walks of life...and there isn't a single one I would discourage from Lindenwood. It is a home for the broken, the sad, the lonely. It is a home for EVERYONE. Again, I am so sorry, CJ for your bad experience. I wish so badly that had not happened and that you were able to see the beauty, the inclusion, the acceptance...please give it another try. It is not only a community of faith...it is a family.
